Ms. Heidi Mekkelson is a Project Manager with seven years of professional experience in the preparation and management of CEQA and NEPA documents. Ms. Mekkelson began her consulting career at CAJA and played a lead role in establishing the firm's Bay Area office in San Francisco. She is experienced in the production of all types of environmental analyses pursuant to CEQA and NEPA, including Environmental Impact Reports, Environmental Impact Statements, Negative Declarations and Mitigated Negative Declarations, Initial Studies, Environmental Assessments, Addendums, Mitigation Monitoring Programs, and other focused studies. Her primary responsibilities include daily coordination with agency staff, clients, and subconsultants; task, budget, and schedule tracking; and document review. Ms. Mekkelson also writes sections for complex analyses, prepares proposals, participates in public hearings and workshops, and trains entry- and mid-level staff. Ms. Mekkelson's project experience is wide-ranging in terms of both geography and type, demonstrating her ability to identify, assess, and mitigate environmental impacts under a variety of conditions. She is particularly skilled in managing the day-to-day demands of large, high-profile projects. Ms. Mekkelson is valued by her clients for her attention to detail, her writing, analytical, and organizational skills, and her commitment to delivering high-quality work products.
